The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in South Africa is a non-profit private entity whose main objective is the strengthening of business ties and trade between Spain and South Africa through promoting the commercial, economic, and industrial relations between the two countries.

The SCC facilitates conferences with influential policy makers, government officials, and directors of companies to create platforms for its members to receive clarity on the economic and social climates in Spain and South Africa. Through services, publications, consulting, and events, the SCC provides its members with extensive information on investment and trade opportunities and Spanish-South African business ventures.

MANUELA SANCHEZ ARAGU

Manuela’s career has been focused within the tertiary industry, specifically the management development and leadership discipline…

She has consulted extensively and teaches strategy, leadership, corporate governance, customer service, and branding. Manuela has developed several leadership and management programmes, and she has been a mentor to numerous students doing their MBAs and in the Tomorrow Leaders Programme. Her leadership is driven by her absolute commitment to professionalism and high touch support.

CHRISLYN FORTUIN

Communications & Marketing Intern

Chrislyn is a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Communication and Media with specialization in journalism, and marketing from the University of Johannesburg….

Her experience is marked by previously working at two digital magazines, writing and reporting on daily news, and working as a research assistant at the University of Johannesburg in the department of Politics and International Relations. She has also interned at Central Gauteng Lions Cricket Organization at the Wanderers Stadium. Currently, Chrislyn is interning at the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, working in the department of Communication and Marketing, and spearheading a number of projects and growing the SCC Brand.  In addition, Chrislyn is contributing to the administration of the chamber and proving support in the Research and Services portfolio.

PRIORITY SHIKWAMBANA

International Trade Officer Intern

Priority holds a double major, Bachelor of Political Science & International Studies degree from the University of Pretoria.

After completion of this degree, she volunteered in an International NGO, Rhino Revolution which supports and protects rhinos, as well as other endangered species and raises awareness on animal poaching and nature conservation. Priority then gained her work experience in local governance, under the Community Work Programme, an initiative of the Department of Cooperative Governance that fosters socio-economic development in local communities. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts Honours (International Politics), with the University of South Africa.

MIKEL ECHEVARRIA ACHA

in Internationalisation and International Trade by BEINT Internationalisation Program promoted by the Basque Government. Mikel has work experience in various types of companies. The most recent one being at S2G Deloitte, working alongside an English international company. Currently Mikel is working at the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in South Africa, providing support as one of the International Trade and Investment Advisors with the goal of promoting business between both countries.

Her professional journey has been marked by diverse roles in business-related spaces, with her most recent role being at Randstad, a prominent global HR organization. At present, Ana lends her expertise to the Institute for Competitiveness Business of Castilla y León (ICE) as a dedicated promoter stationed in Johannesburg within the Internationalization department. Her primary focus is establishing and nurturing relationships while providing vital on-the-ground support to companies from Castilla y León venturing into international markets.
