Jose Maria Segurola Arregui, was born in 1966 in Donostia (Spain). Married with three children. Studied in Economics and Business Administration. Graduate from the University of Deusto. Member of the National Rowing team. (1984-1991). Participated in Seoul 88 Olympic Games with the Spanish Rowing team. French, English, Spanish, Italian, Basque and basic Portuguese. 1992-1999: Director of various functions and branches in Credit Agricole-Bankoa. CaixaBank since 1999. 1999 – 2006: Director of three branches. 2007: Leave of absence for a year to cross the Atlantic on his sailing boat, spending the year sailing with his family in the Caribbean. 2008-2011: Implementation and project management of the Representative Office of CaixaBank in Algeria. Project focused on trade business and IFI relationship with Finance Institutions, Regulator and Companies. 2011/2013: Implementation and project management of the Representative Office of CaixaBank in Egypt, managing also Jordan and Lebanon. 2013/2015: Corporate Banking INBURSA (Mexico). Managing Spanish companies projects and business. Credit Syndications, Project Finance and Corporate Finance management. Weekly attendee at Risk Committees. Origination and monitoring business with multilaterals (BID). April 2015th appointed Director of the new Representative Office of CABK in South Africa, managing also the countries in the region. Participated as speaker in various INMED, ASPEN Institute and ANIMA seminars and meetings.
